1. Planning

Preparing a study plan and effective time management have always helped me to do my studies easily. Map out your study schedule and allocate a specific time period to finish studying the selected topic . By keeping a track of the tasks you have finished by the end of the week ,you can clearly plan out your future study schedule. A major mistake done by most of us is that we tend to study at the last minute and burn the midnight oil the day before the exam.  But you won’t possibly remember everything you studied and concentrating on the exams the next day will be challenging So study early to ace the exams easily.

2. Teach to learn better

Teaching is one of the best ways to learn. your level of engagement with the subject increases when you are preparing to teach putting together learning materials and organizing your thoughts in way that is clear and coherent make it easier to remember them later. when you teach others ,you are challenged to confront areas where your own understanding may not be clear, thus improving your own knowledge .This effective learning method is known as  ‘Protégé effort’

3. Practice past paper questions

Practicing  a lot of Past paper questions help  you to familiarize yourself to the style of the questions that might come in the exams .It also helps you to revise or recall what do you have studied earlier on you can also identify the areas of difficulty .However, you should supplement this method with other forms of studying as  receiving notes, textbooks or other  relevant materials to reinforce the understanding of the material

4. Take breaks

Your brain needs time to process and retain new information .So, you should give your brain a chance to recharge by taking regular breaks during studying. you can use the Pomodoro technique where you take five minute break after study for 25 minutes and a longer break of about 15 minutes after completing  four rounds to do so .Getting adequate sleep is also important for effective learning .Sleep deprivation is the enemy of exam success because sleeping helps to strengthen the memories you have formed throughout the day .It also helps to link new memories to earlier once. Therefore , getting enough sleep during the exam period is important

5. Having a positive mindset

It’s vital to have a positive mindset from the beginning to the end .Positive thinking lets you relax ,remember ,focus and absorb information. So, be kind to yourself and acknowledge your abilities while engaging in self-improvement .You will surely perform well in all your exams.

6. Believe

Don’t lose hope until the last minute. Believe that you can do it and never give up. Give charity and pray to God before going to the exam. Give your best in the exams and leave the rest to God .Don’t discuss the answer with others. Wait patiently until the results come .Don’t be afraid of failure, every failure eventually leads to success.
